The recent reports in the media about people now, after all
this time being officially warned not to consume the fish from creeks and
rivers near RAAF Base Amberley puts paid
to claims that there may be no adverse health effects from the admitted
contaminated Townsville sites .
On The defence Department’s own site they say they engaged WSP - Parsons Brinckerhoff Pty Ltd. Parsons Brinckerhoff recently
re-branded as WSP and has done studies worldwide.
Call me cynical, but every time I see a company name
associated with a government contract, I do a donations search .
A simple donations search using the DEMOCRACY FOR SALE
site turned up $26925 to
Labor and $72550 to Libs since 2004.
Defence has a long history of making people ”civilly” fight to the metaphorical “last drop of
blood”. Australia saw this with the fight against victims of the HMAS
Melbourne/Voyager disaster .
Now we see a new low, the appearance of giving donor
mates investigation contracts and a nods a good as a wink to get the answers
you want !.
Like others , I like my fish and like others I want
answers .
Having also
done a check of the firm “COFFEY ENVIRONMENTS”, who did the EIS for the JOINT
STRIKE FIGHTER, on their own website they say they joined an international firm
“TETRA TECH”. A simple internet search say they are heavily criticised by the
US MILITARY for its behaviour .

I don’t think anyone in Australia has brought up this donations issue yet. The conundrum for anyone dismissing the impact or linkages created by the donations. The company has been buying influence overseas .
If it is said , well , ‘the law says people got a right to donate’ and help the political process in Australia -this is an overseas based company and its subsidiaries are deemed part of it. They are saying they are going to ban foreign donations and maybe call people from overseas trying to influence Australian politics ‘foreign agents’ !
A simple google search “WSP political donations” or “contributions” shows WSP –Parsons Brinkerhoff had been actively buying off USA politicians . I kick myself as someone who has been looking into the donations issues from the mid 2000’s that I didn’t see this link earlier. Task for anyone helping : Get company names of the people who made the Legacy fire fighting foam and exclude them from being linked to WSP/PB . Look for donations from those companies or subsidiaries.
Compare the dates of the Australian donations with the dates
of the tenders for the investigations . There is now apparently a Ukrainian

The submissions for the most recent senate inquiry into the health and environmental impacts of toxic PFASS (Legacy Fire Fighting Foam) close on the 7 TH of July and we have heard nothing about it from our local Herbert MP Cathy O’Toole or the LNP’s Thompson, WHY?
The people of this town ARE concerned about such health impacts that may include cancer. A recent SMH Story has highlighted clusters that MAY have caused by it. It has impacts on our fishing lifestyle and industry too.
Could it be with tight the numbers this is a potential runaway issue for both sides in this important national seat?
Could it be she might be left to explain just as Thompson should , why , immediately preceding the RAAF dropping the foam in 2004 “WSP” “Parsons Brinckerhoff” , the Multinational eventually given the tender for the nationwide investigation – started donating on such a massive scale. First to the Howard government, then to labor ceasing when it would not be a good look to change sideS again?
