UPDATE: On the 26th of March 2019 , The Townsville City Council voted to knock the cattleyards on the head lest it become an election issue at the 2020 Council Elections . The submission I made below :
I found the actual owners of Ronmar , the proponents. It appears this was being disguised . I added my own improvements to the form letter....somewhat ! Teaser “A by-law should be immediately passed that no donor may bring an application nor seek any further approvals to existing applications. After this, all members of this corrupt council should seek the honourable way out. And I suggest the traditional Japanese method!”
This area is completely unsuitable for cattle yards as this land use is likely to impact on the amenity of the local residents and/or road users with foul smells , dust flies , excessive water use , increased risk of Q-Fever and increased traffic . Upon the planning documents, the direct discharge of effluent into the environment has already been approved. This doesn’t speak well of the process.
I understand that the holding yards will be located very near the habitat of the Black Throated Finch. The potential impact on this threatened species needs to be thoroughly assessed.
Live cattle export is a cruel industry that also robs the people of Townsville of jobs. Upon the planning documents themselves, there will only be 25-6 employees with 6 fulltime. The council should not be facilitating this trade by approving these cattle yards.

I am
writing to express concerns about the proposed construction of cattle holding

cattle will be held in these yards prior to being live exported through the
port of Townsville. Its said that will be around 100 000 a year.

company website, it states they did the
Stormwater Management Plan. Premise agriculture also has its own cattle yard
company which has changed its name.
The Development Assessment Report was done by Milford Planning. On the linkedin site of George Milford , Director at Milford Planning Consultants https://au.linkedin.com/in/george-milford-1329a745 , it says he used to work for “Wolter Rowlands Town Planning Group” .
“Wolter “ has previous using http://democracyforsale.net/search-aec/ and https://disclosures.ecq.qld.gov.au/Map $6800 Qld Labor and had donated to the LNP too.
This is a labor council, and try as you might, you can’t put distance between donations to your party and the actions you take.
WHO IS RONMAR PTY LTD ?
I took me a long time to figure out, that I could search google all I liked and all I would come up with is the is the company details but no names . It appears intentional on the part of the council and the proponents and planning consultants that this be so .
